we shot down those who didn´t wanna join
we hung high those who didn´t wanna go…
so we went on ready to go, we launch off to war so doubtlessly
and now we see we were so wrong, delighting in our memories
yes we have been ready at command and here for whatever you might crave
so we believed in our government that now we all march to the grave
they intented us to be sacrificed, or maybe not yet slain we are
and now yet once before we die we find solace in our remembrance
all guns afire we walked in line, believed that we fought in just war
and though we prayed to god on height quoth the reaper never more
we shot down those who didn´t wanna go…
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
